Antimicrobial Compound from Endophytic Pseudomonas azotoformans UICC B-91 of Neesia altissima (Malvaceae)

Centrifugated extract of endophytic Pseudomonas azotoformans strain UICC B-91 has been observed for its antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli ATCC 8739, Bacillus cereus 10876, Staphylococcus aureus 6583, 25923, Salmonella typhimurium 25241, aeruginosa 15442, subtilis 19659 and Candida albicans 10231, with minimum concentration in the range 250 μg/mL. But, novel compound bioactive substances which relevant have not described. Further fractionation identification by thin layer chromatography (TLC) liquid mass spectrophotometry (LCMS-MS) detected several as futoamide (C18H23NO3), gentialutine (C9H11NO), gentiabetine (C9H11NO2), 1-[(2E,4E)-2,4-decadienoyl]pyrrolidine (C14H23NO), lycopodine (C16H25NO) dihydrolycopodine (C16H27NO). The majority compounds containing CHON elements molecular weight approximately 100-450 Da. Keywords: Alkaloid, Antimicrobial compound, Extraction, P. azotoformans.
